Ms. Erin

Erin Tompkins is an accomplished theater, sacred, and concert musician. She has contracted with Arizona and Phoenix Opera Companies, graduated with her Bachelor’s of Music in Voice from Southern Methodist University, and performs in seasonal appearances with professional and voluntary ensembles locally. Her experience in the performing arts and academic communities has inspired students to pursue auditions in several languages, including but not limited to Spanish, French, Italian, Hebrew, German, and Latin. She takes pride in helping her students connect to a focus, power, confidence, preparation, and joy of sharing the music they love across several genres. She worked as a music minister of Via de Cristo United Methodist Fellowship/Faith Community for over 10 years and assisted several other congregations. Her passion for inner peace under scrutiny, skill in analysis, and curiosity for various expressions of the written word are contagious. She incorporates the routine of timed warm-ups and sight reading skills into every lesson and adapts the lesson schedule to the area of greatest need. Students celebrate every accomplishment in performance. The most dedicated and consistent students are encouraged to ask her about additional performance opportunities, ensemble auditions, competitions for prizes, resume building, and continuing education both in and beyond the studio environment!
